Great location if you want to stay in Shadyside. Perfect for a large family or larger group. Loved that every bedroom had a full bathroom. The house was well equipped with every amenity you could think of. Prafful was very responsive. We would stay here again.

The house is beautifully designed and furnished, and the neighborhood is great. The living room and dining room were very comfortable gathering spaces for our group of three couples. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. The bedrooms are private (although the third-floor bedroom does not have a door; the stairs end directly in the room, but that was not a problem). The bathrooms are well-designed and well-stocked. It's nice to have two private parking spaces, although the permitting process for on-street parking for the third car was simple and quick. The only real issue we had is that the mattress in the master bedroom is very soft foam -- so soft that we moved to another room after the first night. If that's a concern for you, be forewarned!

Perfect place for a girls weekend! Shadyside is a great neighborhood. We each loved having our own space with our own bathrooms! The beds and pillows were super cozy ! It was a nice touch having coffee there for us. The host was very responsive and even had a guidebook which we enjoyed. Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. The house is beautiful and spacious. We even enjoyed a bottle of wine on the back on our last night. Highly recommend a stay at this lovely home!

My husband and his coworker were in town for 4 days for business, I tagged along and brought our little terrier. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the place. It’s better than the pictures. The most comfortable beds, nice linens. Wonderful bathrooms. We didn’t use the kitchen while we were there, but the stove and fixtures are amazing. Lovely city life. I walked one day for 1.5 hrs all around by myself and felt 100% safe, even at night it feels safe. Lots of good restaurants around. Would 100% recommend. Thanks so much!

This was one of our best AirBNB experiences. The place was beautiful. Since we visit Pittsburgh frequently we have come to realize that most of the properties listed are older and show their age. But this house was a big exception. It was beautiful, modern and clean. Very nicely decorated. Most importantly was each bedroom had its own private bathroom. All extremely clean and attractive The kitchen was great - everting was very comfortable. Some nice surprises: the projection TV in the family room was great for watching World Cup Soccer. The back deck was also a surprise. Like most Pittsburgh houses the deck was older and it also faced an alley. But it was nicely decorated with privacy greens around the outer railing to create a very private comfortable space. It had a roof that could be opened and closed to allow more or less sun. Just some subtle touches that made it a great area for us. We loved this place - highly recommend.

This was a great place to stay. It is noticeable that one of the rooms does not have a door (upstairs). This worked for us but may not work for everybody. Furnishing and equipment were great and well maintained. The house was clean (except the coffee maker which we did clean ourselves). Overall a top space in a great spot. I will definitely consider booking there again next time I will be in town.

We had an incredible stay here for my daughter’s graduation weekend! Finding a home that comfortably fits a group of 18 people is no easy task, but this house was perfect. ​The location is amazing. We were surrounded by great shops and restaurants, which made coordinating meals for such a large group very easy. It was also just a pleasant 30-minute walk to the University of Pittsburgh campus, so we didn't have to worry about the logistics of graduation traffic. ​The house itself was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. A huge highlight for us was the number of bathrooms—even with 18 of us getting ready at the same time, we never felt crowded or inconvenienced. ​Most importantly, the host was extremely accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our large group had everything we needed, allowing us to focus on celebrating and making this a truly memorable weekend for our daughter. ​We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Pittsburgh. Highly recommended!

Amazing find. While a little on the pricey side for Pittsburgh, the location is about as good as you can get. The house itself was great. Clean, well maintained, and spacious. Room for two cars in the back, and street parking was pretty easy so long as you register your car (very clear instructions provided prior to arrival for that). I would definitely stay at this house again. The host was very responsive through the App and was a pleasure to deal with.

This place was absolutely incredible. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and there were so many thoughtful touches. The kitchen was well stocked and all the cabinets were labeled. All of beds and pillows were SO comfy. Even though you’re in the city, it was nice and quiet there. I never heard any of the neighbors. It’s walkable to lots of great shops and restaurants. The host was extremely quick to reply and very friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.

If you're looking to explore Pittsburgh neighborhoods like a local, you can't do better than this listing. A location close to Walnut St shops and restaurants with private parking is reason enough to book, but the house and the host make the stay exceptional. The home is lovely, recently renovated with everything provided for a comfortable visit. The host team responded quickly, pleasantly and professionally through a couple of small hiccups or anytime I had a question. I would have liked to stay longer and would happily stay here again.

We’ve stayed in Pittsburgh three times over the past three months, and this was by far our best stay yet. The house was perfect—clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Wonderful stay for our visit with family. Plenty of cozy beds and bathrooms for everyone. The location was spectacular for checking out all the shops and restaurants on Walnut Street. Able to work remotely, grab a cup of coffee at one of the coffee shops/bakeries and watch a big screen at the end of the day.

Property and location are great. Communication and follow up (Jake) was excellent. Home is spacious and had lots of room for our family to enjoy. Wonderful property and walkable to great retail and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

The place had nice accommodations inside and can sleep many. We appreciated having plenty of room during our stay. It may be better to book this unit outside of the cold season. Attic and basement bedroom + bathroom is much colder than primary bedrooms. It was challenging trying to park with lingering snow everywhere and there was no street parking spots available. Would have been nice to have had the rear parking area and rear entrance more cleared from snow and ice. I shoveled myself enough to be able to get in and out and kept applying rock salt to get through the ice on the rear steps ( the host thankfully pointed me to rock salt when I asked). Rear entrances should have clear house numbers. I saw 724, but not 722A marked in the rear. (Maybe they were covered with snow or I just didn't see them). I had to discard used dog poop bags that were left outside the rear entrance.

Our week long stay was perfect for my family. The winter storm was not ideal for anyone, but Prafful and Jake were very helpful.

This was a perfect spot for our girls weekend! Walking distance to all of the spots on Walnut street and plenty of space (and bathrooms!) for all of us. The house was wonderfully appointed and very clean! Would absolutely stay again!

The house was well-designed and extra-spacious for our 6-person group, with big common areas, comfortable seating, and a kitchen stocked with all the appliances we could’ve possibly needed. We also had plenty of room to spread out for time alone and one-on-one with each other. Thank you for hosting us!

We stayed for very little time in this Airbnb, just a few hours for the kids to rest a little before our return flight, but I wish we stayed longer. It’s probably one of the best Airbnb we have ever stayed. Clean, comfortable, very beautiful, well stocked… it was a great find. We also booked very last minute and the host was very fast to reply and confirm our booking. 10/10 Loved our experience and will definitely stay longer if we are even in Pittsburgh again.

Loved this house! We were traveling with 4 adults and 2 kids and were happy to have 4 big cozy beds to accommodate us all. Steps from Walnut St which is a fantastic neighborhood with a great vibe. Always easy to pop out to a toy store, coffee shop, or restaurant. Staying in hotels downtown for this annual family trip until we realized how much happier we'd be in a place like this.

This is a top notch, home. Comfy beds and linens, and a great layout. Everything felt fresh and new. It was close to shops and some great places to eat, which were recommended by the host. Parking was made easy by having a dedicated spot. Check in and check out were easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Another magnificent and peaceful stay at this immaculately maintained and thoughtfully detailed space. Combine all that with the most hospitable hosts you could have and this is a gem. For me it was an ideal work retreat, but if you need a place that can accommodate a diverse range of preferences in a group ( coffee/ tea, eat in/ best restaurant accessible, stay in/ go out, tub/ shower, solitary/communal space, or even the Goldilocks mattress needs) this is your place. Clear instructions and communication makes it convenient even if checking in after dark. I’m looking forward for another occasion to book!

Great location in the heart of Shadyside with excellent restaurants a block away! The off-street parking is important as street parking is challenging. Be aware there is a bar across the street that can be a bit noisy on the weekends, but otherwise the accommodations and location were superb! We would gladly stay here again the next time we are in Pittsburgh.

This space sets the standard for detail. Immaculately maintained retreat perfect for a girls’ weekend, family vacation, or a writer’s personal retreat. Centrally located, without the noise that usually comes with a prime location, made it a perfect remote work space. Fully stocked, well organized & even labeled, chef’s kitchen, alongside all your favorite gadgets made this a great option for any level of cooking. Coffee drinkers- pick your method- and for once the tea drinkers were included too! I’m already looking for another occasion just to book! Thank you for being the most amazing host!

We especially appreciated that all the kitchen utensils & appliances were available so that we could make a home cooked meal. It’s a beautiful place; spacious and artsy just like the photos show. The house is immaculate and they have everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and bathrooms! We had breakfast every morning on the deck, walked to restaurants and boutiques and parked in the driveway behind the house. Amazing place!

We rented this airbnb for my sister’s bachelorette. There were 9 people and it fit everyone so well! The neighborhood is awesome and has plenty of walkable stores, shops, and restaurants. Excellent stay and hope to come back again one day!

This was easily one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed at. The house was beautiful—we fell in love the moment we walked in. Everything was super high quality, and the attention to detail really stood out. Beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept really well. The kitchen had everything you could think of—different kinds of tea, multiple coffee options, and more. It never felt like they were just trying to meet the minimum—they really went the extra mile. There were power outlets with both USB-C and USB-A all around, which made charging devices super easy. Checkout was a breeze too. Just an all-around fantastic stay.

This was in a wonderful location. Nice neighborhood. Excellent ice cream parlor and Italian restaurant both across the street. Walking distance to bagel store, Starbucks, several restaurants and a great sports bar. The kitchen was particularly well stocked (more so than average) which was greatly appreciated. Overall, I was extremely pleased and would highly recommend. One of my best rentals

When I reached out for some coffee pods at 9:00 PM — they were at the front door within a half hour! I couldn’t believe how responsive Prafful was. The only suggestion I would have is for a small AC unit for the 3rd floor. The kids loved watching TV up there but it got warm. There were some fans available but in the heat of the summer they may not be enough for a good night’s rest. Other than that we found this house very accommodating and we had a memorable time. I loved the area too. Checkout was a breeze which was much appreciated.

Our stay at the Avant-Garde Escape did not disappoint! The home was just as in the photos - super clean, great kitchen, tastefully decorated, comfortable and well-appointed. The back porch was a nice addition and a great hang-out space. We had 7 in our party and used all of the bedrooms. Everything is spaced out nicely. Location couldn't be better - easily walkable to shops and restaurants. Having parking in the back was key and accommodated our 2 SUV's. Host was friendly and always quick to respond. I would highly recommend this home and would be happy to visit again!

This property was more beautiful in person than in pictures. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were very clean and had extra essentials for guest if needed. Fantastic 4-bedroom place steps from Walnut Street in Shadyside. Great that every bedroom had its own bathroom. One bedroom in basement. 2 on second floor with full sized laundry. Third floor bedroom was sort of like a loft in that there is not a door. Fully - and I mean fully - stocked kitchen. Best I’ve seen. We cooked a big meal one night. Even had cloth napkins. Bed linens were great. Towels fresh and fluffy and plentiful. Funky fireplace thingy. Off street parking as so nice. I hope to stay again with the family.

We loved this house. Checking in and out was extremely easy, everything was provided, and all the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is a huge bonus. Almost all you could hope to eat, drink, and shop for was just a minute or two away. It was an easy walk to the Carnegie Museums, CMU and Pitt. The private parking makes traveling further afield stress free. Finally, we were amazed that such a great place was so affordable.

I have never used this site. I have always stayed at hotels because that is what I am used to. However, my family and I needed to travel for a funeral and we found this place with the assistance of an Air bnb Rep. It was perfect! Prafful was the best! His communication, instructions, and responsiveness was very much appreciated, especially on such short notice. The home is pristine!! Clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. This home has so many upgraded amenities that I have chosen to do some of the same upgrades in my own home. Shops and restaurants within walking distance is definitely a plus. Off street parking another plus. Overall my family and I were completely comfortable and relaxed during such a stressful time. Words can not express our gratitude. Thank you so very much. We had a great visit at Prafful's place. Our two families with three kids total had plenty of space to spread out, the house was relatively safe for kiddos (easy to make it kid-poof), and we could walk to restaurants, shopping, and even a playground. The kid-friendly amenities were a big bonus - games in the basement, bassinet, crib, and high chair - all meant we could pack light and spend more of our time exploring. The house was funky and interesting without being weird, and we enjoyed ourselves. I'd gladly recommend Prafful and his home to anyone looking to visit Pittsburgh.

I got lucky and was able to book this home last minute when a family member needed health support for a month at Shadyside Hospital. The house and host are top notch and highly recommended. What a great space! Thoughtful choices made us at home instantly—a well-appointed kitchen, lots of clean linens, stocked toiletries, a new washer & dryer, comfortable beds and an open space for lounging and dining. Dinner service for 10+ made it easy to host family meals. The walkable access to shops, restaurants and services in Shadyside can't be beat. You are on a quiet residential street ten steps from everything from the Apple Store to a juice bar to great restaurants—even an Anthony Bourdain approved bar (Le Mardi Gras!). Across the street is Girasole which became our kitchen for the month. The host is a pro. Any of the minor issues that came up were responded to immediately and resolved quickly exceeding all expectations. Highly recommend if you need a sophisticated space to stay in PGH.

This is one of the nicest Airbnb’s I have ever booked! My family was extremely happy and comfortable! It was exactly like the place was described online. There was a lot of details added to the place such as little vanity mirrors in each bathroom, power strips around the house for charging, & signs around the house for the Wi-Fi . And the location was perfect walking distance to shops!

We had an amazing time here. The location is phenomenal and the off-street parking is extremely convenient. The place was super clean, modern, and very well. appointed. There were more bedrooms than we had people but this home could easily accommodate a large group each with their own bathroom! As a long-time Airbnb traveler and customer, this stay ranks at the top of our list for sure.
