I like this spacious apartment. I had a pleasant stay at this place. There was a lilttle stain on the blanket but overall I had a good time at this place.

Jake’s apartment is delightful. The beds are sooo comfortable (seriously the best beds of an place I’ve stayed) and the whole apartment spotless! It’s a quick walk to markets, coffee shops, and restaurants. Most of all Jake is very responsive. We asked for an earlier check in and he helped make it happen. If you are looking for a comfortable place within walking distance to lots of services, this is a great option. Thanks Jake for helping make our ladies trip so comfortable!

We enjoyed our stay after making a last-minute reservation. It was great to have some space to relax. We walked the area and got takeout to enjoy some downtime at the apartment. The place was clean, easy to check in, and low stress.

We’ve stayed at 2 of Jake’s places and we’re hooked! Hopefully every trip to Pittsburgh, we’ll be able to stay at one of his units. Immaculate, bright and inviting, incredibly comfortable beds. We were thrilled!

It is a very nice(and big) place, but there was a fair amount of damage(hanging light fixture, drawer front off, broken blinds, etc). I think these things will be fixed quickly as we have stayed at one of Jake’s other places and it was pristine. The place was very clean and comfortable. Not the biggest deal in the world, but it would have been nice to know that it is above a liquor store. It was still nice and quiet, and very easy to access

Really enjoyed our stay at Jake’s place. The apartment was so clean, comfortable and spacious. The location in Shadyside was great. We made full use of our proximity to Yinz Coffee, Aldi’s and Market District. It was also nice having a place to park in Pittsburgh. Jake was a great host who communicated well and responded quickly to our questions. We would like to rent from him again.

I have already shared his place with co-workers. Great location if you want to do the zoo and other kid friendly attractions.

We had a great stay at Jake’s place. It was spacious, clean and exactly as described in pictures. Very easy to get to, parking was so easy and convenient. Quick drive to almost anywhere you would need to visit in Pittsburgh. Coffee shop across street was convenient to grab a quick bite after checkout next day. We were in town for a concert and only got to stay one evening but wished we could have stayed longer to relax and enjoy Jake’s place longer. It was also very quiet there. Great experience and would definitely book again.

The apartment is quite large. It was nice to have enough seating in the living and dining room for everyone in our group ( I find it odd that isn’t the case in many air bnb). The unit is on a busy street but we didn’t hear any street noise. Great location with easy access to many wonderful restaurants!

The spacious and comfortable bedrooms and living rooms easily accommodated our family in town for a family event. It was possible to walk to many places or take a short uber ride if you don’t have a car.

Appreciated the size and location of this apartment. The beds were comfortable. A coffee shop and Aldi are conveniently located across the street. Unfortunately, the main entrance door from the sidewalk to the second floor did not have a locking mechanism during our stay, so it freely opened without use of the code provided. When we asked the host about it, we were told that the door to the apartment itself was secure and that locking parts for the main entrance door should be arriving soon. Would have felt better if we'd been given a heads-up. Separately, the apartment has some wear and tear and the kitchen isn't well-equipped for a family or a group of more than 2 people. There were too few utensils (4 or 5 total for our group of 4) and limited pots and pans, all in need of replacement. We made it work for the two nights we stayed, but a longer stay would have been more challenging.

Overall had a good stay minus one minor issue. Would stay again. This was the first time I haven’t been given a list of checkout instructions to take care of dirty dishes, bedding, towels, trash etc…host takes care of these things. Very impressive! Very nice & responsive host.

we had to come for.a children's hospital appointment and wanted to stay close. the place was so big, the beds and pillows were so comfortable, beautiful kitchen,I had asked for a late check out last minute due to the hospital changing our appointment that morning and Jake was accommodating to that. we will be staying for our future appointments

My family and I spent one short night, it was more than enough room and had everything needed. Close to universities and some restaurants, even to the aldi.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Jake's lovely Airbnb, and we can't recommend it enough! From the moment of booking and the quick responses to any of our questions to the cleanliness of the apartment. We were walked into a beautiful space that felt like home! The location was ideal, situated in a quiet neighborhood and conveniently close to local attractions. The apartment was spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and equipped with all the of amenities that we could need. Jake was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. A memorable trip from a Philly cousin and Cincinnati cousin meeting in the middle of lovely Pittsburgh.

The second story apartment was a perfect place for us to hang out during our short stay in Pittsburgh. The three bedrooms and extra mattress in the office space was sufficient space for our needs. We enjoyed being right across the road from Aldi. Great location in the city.

My wife, daughter and son-in-law and our two dogs stayed for three nights at the apartment. It was exactly as described - roomy, clean and convenient! The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed, and there is a coffee shop and a grocery store right across the street. The location is central to EVERYTHING, and we were able to go all over Pittsburgh with no issues at all. I highly recommend! Note, when walking your dogs there is a small park behind the Aldi that is across Baum Blvd, and the neighborhood behind there is a great place for a longer walk.

Good establishment definitely will book again

Apartment is about 10 min driving distance from the University campus. Although it is located on the 2nd floor above a beer store, it is pretty quiet.. Across the street there is a coffee shop, supermarket and drugstore so there is no need to drive. The apartment is clean and well taken care of.

Jake's place was perfect. It looked just like the photos, and had plenty of room for 6 of us. I was worried about parking, because the lot in back is small, but we never had a problem getting a spot. I had a wonderful stay at Jake’s place—I just wish it hadn’t been so quick! Parking was a totally breeze, which I was a bit worried about in the city. But the instructions were very clear and it was easy to find. Jake’s home was also lovely! I was large and nicely decorated, plus it was super clean. And the bed and couch were so comfortable! I booked Jake’s place specifically because the couch looked like the perfect place to curl up with a book and snuggle in for the night, and I was totally right! I’d totally recommend this stay!

What a convenient location, and a wonderfully walk-able neighborhood. If you are curious, the beer store downstairs has quite the respectable selection. With grocery stores, restaurants, and other stuff just a short or medium walk away, its easy to enjoy the area. The apartment was tidy and well-described by the listing. At night, the neighborhood was pretty quiet, and we did not notice much outside noise. It is and older building so you might occasionally hear some footstep creaks from the neighbors, but I observed the neighbors as both quiet and respectful.

I’ve stayed in several really nice airbnbs before, but what really put this one over the top was Jake! What an absolutely kind, attentive, and impressive host he was. Response time was above and beyond and all other hosts should take some lessons from him! The beds were a luxury experience, the whole place was spotless, and we loved the big lounger couch—An all-around fantastic stay. Thank you!!

Jake was inviting and helpful when the toilet in the house was broken the day before Thanksgiving. He had people there to look at it the day before and the day after and made sure to accommodate around us!

A very spacious Airbnb centrally located for our quick stay in Pittsburgh! Jake is a very thorough and responsive host!

We enjoyed our stay. It was spacious, clean, we loved the comfort of the bed and appreciated the sound machines. We use them regularly with our little one. Our little one’s socks were pretty dirty after exploring the first night there. Could clean floors a little better, other than that we thought it was great.

Jake’s apartment on Baum was a phenomenal place to stay while me and my guys were working in town. The location was super convenient, especially because it’s directly accross the street from Aldi, and a block from giant eagle.

This was my first time visiting and I was immediately drawn to Jake's property by the location, interior photos, and his overwhelmingly positive reviews. I would say all the descriptions and reviews are very accurate. The apartment was incredibly spacious and accommodating as depicted in the photos. The bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and living room have everything you need and I appreciated the extra design touch with the bright lighting and colorful plants/rugs to make the space feel extra special. I really enjoyed the location - the apartment is about 1.5 miles away from the university and there are many accessible restaurants/shops via walking. Shout out to Jake and his team for being so kind and for providing clear check-in/out instructions. I definitely see myself visiting Pittsburgh again in the future and would love to stay at one of Jake's properties again if I am fortunate to be able to!

although I was taking it back by the fact, that’s Above a beer store, I was pleasantly surprised at the large space how well-maintained it was and how beautiful it was. It was such a great location very close to Shadyside and downtown. I will 100% be staying here again when I’m in town.

Wonderful stay! The place was clean and it was a lot of space for the buck. Jake gave clear instructions on parking and checking in. My only complaint is it is above a liquor store and you share parking with their patrons.

It was a great stay. We only booked one night thinking we were stopping at mid point towards New York from Detroit. The place had plenty of room, everything was comfortable, near great coffee shops and restaurants. The area this is in is currently has some empty lots around it as it is changing over, but never felt unsafe at all. Jake was easy to communicate with and always had great advice and was responsive, highly recommend and would stay here again when I come back to Pittsburgh!

Very clean place, worked well for my family of 7. Comfortable beds. Parking was a little challenging while we waited for staff from the storefront to move their cars in the back parking lot. That said, Jake was very communicative and offered a few different possible solutions in real time. Overall, a nice rental.

Jake let me sign up the morning we stayed in and responded in MINUTES. It was a great place, loved the ingenious way you could connect to the wifi through a QR code. Overall, everything was just like the pictures and pristine! We made chicken Alfredo after walking to the Aldi’s across the street and enjoyed the large open living room!

This apartment, as the listing shows, is quite attractive. It's larger and more spacious than you can tell from the photos. There is room and facilities for a good-sized family. Blinds and drapes allow you to choose as much sunlight as you want. The beds are amazingly comfortable, encouraging a good night's sleep. The location is quite convenient and safe, but it is commercial. Given the placement on a major street, this place is wonderfully quiet. It's easy to get to many parts of the city, including downtown. The full kitchen, office space and laundry allowed three adults to cook lots of meals, work and relax during our stay. We would stay here again, or in other of Jake's properties.

We stayed at Jake’s apartment in late May 2024 as a group of 7. The apartment was very spacious with lots of room for a big group with kids. The apartment was on the second floor of a standalone building with free parking at the back and we were able to park two cars there overnight which was nice. The apartment had windows overlooking the parking lot as well. The area felt safe and conveniently close to coffee shops and restaurants. Overall very satisfied and would stay again when in Pittsburgh.

Great place. Great host. Beer Store just below, Aldi’s and Rite Aid across the street, Giant Eagle grocery just a few blocks away, plenty of parking, beds were very comfortable, nice decor, everything was up to date and worked well. Jake was very attentive via Airbnb app, responded very promptly to all of my messages.

I stay with my family at Jake’s place last week. It was wonderful: starting with a very easy self-checking in and to the very last minute. Jake was one of the most responsive hosts I’ve ever had. We couldn’t figure out how to reset a thermostat and contact Jake past 10 pm. The answer was instant, and Jake followed up to make sure we were fine. Location was great- walking distance to groceries, in a lovely neighborhood. I’d recommend this place!

Great place, clean, quiet at night and very comfortable! Jake responded to all messages within minutes, met him at the door unexpectedly as he was fixing something for an adjacent property. Would highly recommend and plan to stay at another of Jake’s properties when we return to Pittsburgh again.

Fantastic place. Visited my son at CMU and the location was perfect. Super clean. Lots of space. The parking lot was super convenient, as was the coffee shop and Aldi across the street. Beds were super comfortable and kitchen had what we needed to cook some light meals. Will look to stay here again next time we’re in town.

This place is a gem and much larger than it looks in the pictures - more than enough space for my family of 6. Some other pluses: good-sized kitchen, memory foam mattresses, lots of natural light and roomy sofa for watching TV together. Aldi is across the street and Rite Aid is next door. The only downside and this completely depends on the size of your party: one bathroom. We just had to schedule shower times so it worked out. Thanks to Jake for being a responsive host.

Jake's apartment is gorgeous! It is spacious and was very clean. It was easy to park and to drive to downtown. The neighborhood seems to be up and coming but is safe. There is a great coffee shop right across the street along with a supermarket and drug store. I highly recommend Jake's place. He was easy to communicate with and accomodated a last minute request to check in early.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Jakes apartment. It is tastefully designed, spacious and very cozy. Jake was very quick in his responses and very respectful and understanding.

Exactly what we needed for a group w/ a dog. More than enough room for everyone, well-equipped, no problems at all. Definitely would come back if the opportunity presents itself.

The place was exactly as described in the listing. The unit was very clean when we arrived and stocked with all of the items that we needed. Having a a washer and dryer in the unit was very helpful. It had parking out back and we did not have a problem getting a spot even though it was shared with a business. Grocery store across the street was convenient and it was Close to other stores as well.

Nice host, easy to communicate, quick response, good value for the entire space.

Came for Jagr’s jersey retirement ceremony, Jake was very responsive and the rental was exactly as advertised and well worth the price!

The place was very quiet, comfortable, full of natural light, and clean. I felt worse for the beer store downstairs hearing the pitter patter of kids feet. We needed to check that the main exterior door fully closed when entering/leaving, it would always latch with its own weight, but that’s it! Really a lovely and affordable place to stay. Our youngest actually cried in the car because we had to return our real home.

Wow! Great place for a great price. Easy access, clean, large, all the amenities were well stocked and clean. I have no negative issues with this place. Jake kept us well informed on everything we needed to know before we got there. Nice, private backdoor access was easy to get to from the parking lot. Everything was clean and organized. I usually don’t post reviews, but this had to be an exception because we were all amazed at how nice this place was. I definitely recommend this place. We know we will definitely either rent here again, or we will rent from Jake. Thank you Jake for the great experience!

Jake was responsive to all questions, place was well provisioned and clean. I would recommend and would stay again . The location, was not ideal so we gave it a 4 /5 . Would like to point out , that the 4/5 was because there is an empty lot next door, the street was pretty busy outside and it is located over a beer store. With that being said we felt safe and there was plenty of food and stores near by. Everything else 100% first rate. Would stay again/recomend thanks Jake

Totally brand new, so didn't have much of a "lived-in" feel to it yet. For our stay and where we needed to get to, it was an ideal location. Felt a bit badly that we didn't really use the place - i.e. we didn't use the kitchen or dining area, nor the office over the weekend, but I'm sure others can make better use of the facilities. Above a beer shop and on a busy road, but was very quiet and plenty of places nearby.
