Jake is a great host and we would definitely return if staying in Pittsburgh. Very easy check in and house was in a quiet neighborhood.

The house was close to the venue we went to for a party for family members. The bedrooms were spacious & clean with nice decor. The big kitchen gave us space to cook too. We even brought our dogs and the green space in the backyard worked out good.

We needed a place to stay for a couple of days while working in Pittsburgh and Jake’s place was the perfect location, close to everything and very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

Jake was extremely responsive. Place was great. Didn’t really use much of the Airbnb as we were out and about our entire stay in the area. It’s a great place at a great price! This is a very large house and definitely worth it!

The place was super clean and very comfortable, providing a perfect home away from home. I especially loved its convenient location near great restaurants and the University of Pittsburgh. Cute space, very centrally located to many good places. Keep your pets on a leash in the back yard(fence gaps). Clean, easy to find, parking wasn't too bad.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was spotless, spacious, and perfect for our group while we were in town for my sister’s wedding — plenty of room to sleep, spread out, and get ready. Located in Pittsburgh’s Little Italy, it was within walking distance to charming cafes and restaurants, and parking was a breeze. The host was incredibly responsive and made everything easy. We did hear the occasional train horn as another review mentioned, but it was minimal and not a big deal at all if you’re used to a reasonable amount of city noise. Highly recommend!”

We had a great stay at Jake’s place! The home was exactly as described—clean, well-kept, and conveniently located near some great local eateries. Jake was very responsive throughout our stay and accommodating enough to allow us a late checkout, which we really appreciated. The amenities were good and made for a comfortable visit. Parking was a bit tight, but manageable with some patience. One small note: as someone who tends to feel warm, I found the cooling upstairs could have been better, though the living room was quite comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we’d gladly stay here again when visiting the area!

We had a great stay in Pittsburgh at Jake's place. It was a perfect location. The morning after we got there when my husband went to make coffee the regular canister was empty, I reached out to Jake and he had some dropped off right away. His response was so quick anytime I reached out to him. I would definitely choose to stay at Jake's place again and would highly recommend his place.

The place was okay but we had issues with train noises at night, me being a lite sleeper i really had hard time as the there was a train passing very hour at night and railway track was right next to the house and was very loud. The house was very clean but there were stains on carpet and very little pet hair on couple pillows. Would be a very good place for friends to hangout but this one's not for us (three families with 2 kids)

The good: beds very comfortable. living space was open and quiet. close to restaurants. The Bad: The home is old and photos are deceiving. Much differed maintenance throughout the home. The floors were not level, rotting kitchen counters, window and door frames, back porch deck, missing screens, missing light bulbs, ceiling fan not working, microwave handle coming off, closet doors off, etc. I literally could not stand up to use the upstairs toilet as the wall was at such an angle in a very tight space. parked several blocks away at times. the horrible cleanliness of the place is what was so disheartening. The kitchen floor and counters filthy, The bedding had gross stains on most of the sheets, blankets and pillowcases. The bath towels were badly stained and fraying. The carpets had stains and spills throughout the house. These are simple no brainer items that never should have had to be called out if someone was paying attention and caring for the home. very disappointing.

Very nice stay at a refurbished old row house, just a couple blocks off of hopping liberty Avenue. Two of us stayed there for five nights, with four others joining us for two or three nights of that stay. The place is very roomy, easily accomodating a larger group, with a nice big couch and tv in the family room. This place comes with all the typical quirks of an old building, but we found it very comfortable, and it completely and affordably met the needs of our group. Jake, our host was very helpful and very quick to answer messages and offer assistance. The only downside we experienced was a problem that comes with the area- -parking was on street, first come, first serve, and rather a pain. We Uber’d a lot, or walked, finding this easier than jockeying for a parking spot. Otherwise, the location was convenient to bakeries, coffee shops, a couple bars and eateries with only a few blocks of walking.

Jake’s place was clean. Easy to ge into. Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood was a little run down but only two blocks from Liberty street with lots of restaurants and coffe shops.

The house was clean and had plenty of room. It was perfect for our visit to Carnegie Mellon which was a quick drive from the house. The only downside is the parking situation. We usually could get a spot in front of the house during the day. We did have issues when we came back after 9:00pm. We had to park a few blocks away. It wasn't a big deal for us but might be for other's with mobility issues. All in all a nice place to stay and responsive owner. I would recommend it to other's.

The townhouse was perfect for our needs. It's in a great location, and was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Jake is super responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again, and wouldn't hesitate to check out one of his other properties!

Parking sucked

The place was clean, the layout of the main floor was ideal, the beds were comfy, parking was easy and the location was a quick drive to everywhere we wanted to go to in Pittsburgh. Best value in Pittsburgh. 3 good sized bedrooms on 2nd floor with very comfortable beds. Large first floor enough for a large group. Convenient washer and dryer in basement. Very quiet neighborhood although sometime an occasional freight train in the distance. Very close to restaurants (Thai Cuisine was very good) but everything in the city just a 10-15 min drive. Although no dedicated parking, we easily found a spot steps away. Don’t expect the Four Seasons at this price. Expect a decent and comfortable place to stay.

Jake’s place made a great home for my family for 2 weeks! The apartment is very roomy, the beds were comfortable and the black out shades were a great touch especially with having an infant. We were also able to have our dog which made the stay all that more enjoyable and it was great for him to have a yard!

Cute spot in a central location. The house is very old and could use some revamping, but for the price it was well worth it. The front and back yard area could also use some fixing up, but we weren’t out there much due to the cold weather. Beds were very comfy and we felt safe in the neighborhood.

We had a great visit in Bloomfield. The neighborhood has a very cool vibe and is very walkable. Great restaurants. This house in particular is at the end of the street so it was very quiet. The fenced in backyard was convenient for our dogs and there is a really cool view of the Bloomfield Bridge. The beds were so comfy! The house was perfect for our family and two dogs.

Being from Pittsburgh, it was great traveling back there for the holidays with our family and being all together at Jake's place in Bloomfield. Jake was extremely responsive to questions & requests from pre-booking to post check-out. The home was comfortable and big enough for 4 adults, 2 little girls, and a sweet Ridgeback dog. Had Mother Nature cooperated, the shared deck and private backyard would have provided a fun additional place to gather. The beds were comfortable and the bed linens nice. Parking was a bit of hassle, but that is to be expected in the city. The location is close enough to enjoy all the city has to offer, and there are several near-by decent breweries. We would not hesitate to stay in one of Jake's Pittsburgh places when we visit again.

Jake responds extremely quick, which was very much appreciated. I like the small touches - having coffee available to make in the morning, as well as creamer (how often does a host have creamer/sugar even if they have coffee?). His beds are super comfy. Coming from the rural Poconos, I really appreciated him arranging the on street parking for us, which could have been a big challenge for us.

Jake was a great host; flexible, very responsive, and provided all the information for a smooth check-in. The place looked exactly like the photos and accommodated what we needed during our short stay.

Jake’s place was very cozy and comfortable and clean. Probably the cleanest Airbnb I have stayed at yet. The beds and linen were fresh and comfortable A+ will definitely stay again. Only minor very minor problem that isn’t in the control ofJake is we had to park halfway up the hill even with permitted parking because no other spots were open. We assumed permitted parking meant we had a marked spot not a full street permit, and it was only an issue because we had a guest with limited mobility and there where no handicap spots marked, again not against the place or Jake and we never asked either. Over all great stay and place.

Great location to the children’s hospital. Also close to Phipps conservatory and the children’s museum. We had a great stay.

Peaceful dead end street with plenty of parallel parking within walking distance, Very comfortable sleeping, extra linens, blankets, bathrooms & bedrooms clean. We traveled from out of State and so please with how the apartment was when we arrived and how responsive the owner Jake was with a few requests during our stay. This was a 3rd annual Thanksgiving celebration with our daughter who lives in Pittsburgh. Thanks for everything Jake! We will be back

The pictures don’t show how big this house is! All three bedrooms have plenty of space even with the king beds. I was nervous about the parking situation but we always had a space in front of the house. I would definitely stay again.

Overall, we had a great stay! The location was walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and shops: the house was easy to access and clean; and our host was incredibly communicative, helpful, and friendly. Six of us stayed at the house and we all agreed these were the most comfortable Airbnb beds any of us have ever experienced! There was some staining on old carpeted areas, and minor fixes that need to be taken care of (i.e., door to basement doesn’t stay shut), which is the only reason I didn’t rate our stay a 5. I wish i could give a 4.5. We would stay again, if given the opportunity!

The house was nice, lots of space. Jake was very communicative. Parking was not easy, however. We had to park several blocks away on a side street and couldn’t see our car. If you don’t care where your car is parked, this place will be fine. But if you want to see your car or want to park close to the house, this place may not be the best option for you. We ended up leaving early and finding a place that offered off-street parking.

This was my 2nd time staying at one of Jake’s places and just as the last place the house was very nice, felt like home, peaceful surroundings for resting and walking my dog, and lots of restaurants and parks nearby. Will always look forward to staying at another one of his places when back in town.

Had everything we needed except a blowdryer, but that's my fault for not bringing one with me! House was comfortable and in a fantastic location!

We really enjoyed our one night stay here. Beds were very comfortable! Bathrooms were clean. The parking was actually very easy (thanks to the detailed instructions) and Jake was very responsive from before check in to after check out. Definitely recommend!

Host is great. Location not that great for what we paid. Bathrooms were not ideal in that 2 bedrooms had to share the one. The 3rd upstairs bedroom had to go downstairs. Said it slept 7-8 but more like 6. Beds were amazing! Place needs many small repairs…light bulbs out, light switches not working, many broken items like towel racks, kitchen faucet handle came off, etc etc. 2 days of elbow grease would make the world of difference as place is quite dated. Neighbourhood not bad with good local restaurants like Tessaro’s!

It was a great place to stay. I wish we'd habe known more about how tight the street is and that it deadends. It was difficult to get out. But that fact that Jake's company gives 10 percent to charity more than makes up for it.

We loved our stay at Jake’s place. The place was spacious, very clean and in an area close to where we needed to be. Amenities were perfect and we felt right at home. Lots of open space and the beds were comfortable.

The place was exactly as described, quiet neighborhood, and spik and span inside. Parking had been a concern when we booked, but turned out to be just fine. We had a small snafu with the cleaners leaving the towels in the drier, but Jake’s outstanding communications fixed the issue in no time

We had a great stay! Jake was a great host; he was very responsive and helpful. We had requested a late check-out, and Jake was able to accommodate our request which was very helpful. The downstairs in the unit is spacious and comfortable with nice decor which matched the pictures and description. We liked that each bedroom had a king bed, and the mattresses and bedding were some of the most comfortable! The location was convenient for our needs. While I agree with some of the other reviews that parking is a little tricky as it's a busy street, we were lucky to find a parking spot nearby and it was not an issue for us. I would recommend Jake's place and would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Great house, close to lots of restaurants. It is a typical working-class neighborhood in a city with very steep streets. (I'm from Pgh). Very quiet. The house was very clean offering more than the simple necessities (white-noise machine, make-up remover pads and other appreciated items) House is quite spacious, lots of room to move about. We all enjoyed our stay.

Didn’t like the House at all. I would not recommend this house to anyone. The house is located very inside. Kitchen was good but bathroom was unclean. I got one insect while I was in the bathroom. Very unprofessional by the time we went to check in they were still working on cleaning the house. There’s no Air Conditioning. Very disappointing

Jake’s place is extremely comfortable. It’s easily accessible. The street parking might be a problem if it’s busy but you can park a little away from the house. We didn’t have any problem during our stay. Jake is very quick to reply and solve any issues.

Jake accommodated our request for a one hour earlier check in which was nice. The issues we had were wet towels in every bedroom and we were told to go down in the basement and dry them ourselves which took forever in an old dryer. The second issue we had was we were told there were not only ceiling fans but portable fans. We found one and not only was it dirty but it didn’t work. However, two days later 3 wonderful tower fans were delivered and that was fantastic. We also did not have a remote for the living room tv. Two days later we found one on the stoop but it had corroded batteries and didn’t work. We ended up purchasing our own batteries. Despite the various issues I would say that I would consider staying at Jakes’s again. They did try their best to help us, but stuff happens. Many reviews say parking is a nightmare and yes it can be a challenge but we had no issues parking two cars in the neighborhood.

We had an incredible stay in Bloomfield. The property is very old (which I enjoyed) but so beautifully renovated and updated inside. Clean, very comfortable beds and pillows, roomy, and had what we needed. We loved the neighborhood with its historic appeal and unique charm. Parking can be a little stressful but Jake was able to give us very clear instructions and recommendations for how to and where to park (luckily we were always able to get a spot right in front of the house)! So many great things in walking distance. It was fun exploring the area. The property and area felt safe and peaceful and we just really really loved it. Jake was incredible to work with as well. Responsiveness was TOP NOTCH. He is professional and kind and just wonderful to deal with. No complaints. We will definitely stay with Jake again. Can’t say enough great things about our long weekend!!

We really enjoyed our stay in Pittsburgh! The apartment was within walking distance of many stores, coffee shops, breweries, etc. and the beds were very comfortable.

This is an older home that has been renovated and maintained nicely. Quite spacious for our group of 6. Jake was very response throughout. Only minor con was that the firepit in the back was not usable during our stay.

Wonderful place for a visit - Jake was very helpful. The place was nice especially the bedrooms. The back yard had a very creepy sign that said smile you are on camera and the parking was really tough - small road and we had to park a few streets away.
