Jake was an excellent host and we really enjoyed our say. He was accommodating when we needed to change our plans and extend our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment is close to lots of coffee shops and restaurants.

Jake's places are always above and beyond. Pristine, perfectly clean with very comfortable beds and wonderful linens. The kitchen is stocked with what you need, and showers come with soap and shampoo. It feels like staying on an upgraded hotel. Most importantly, Jake is very responsive and will respond to you within minutes of your request. He's always there to help and answer any questions, which is very important to me as a guest. Overall, a 5 star place and a 5 star host! Thank you Jake 😊

Jake’s apartment was wonderful to stay in. A very short walk from walnut street. It is very clean, tastefully furnished. The bathroom is spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the beds are very comfortable. We really couldn’t ask for anything more. Jake was extremely responsive throughout our stay. He even answered a very late night message we sent him almost immediately. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Pittsburgh.

The place was very nice for the last minute that I booked and he communicated very quickly to my questions. Parking was a little bit of a hassle but neighbors on block were friendly so parking around corner wasn't bad. I wish there was more seating in the living room. All else was great. I am used to the “but” of an AirBnb. So often, it feels as if the host is trying to con you. This was the first Airbnb, that was truly perfect. Jake was beyond helpful, working with us out plans changed, and changed again. Bathroom had everything you could need, beds were amazingly comfortable, AC worked great, it was perfect. 11/10 recommend.

I booked an place with Jake and was given an upgrade because they said that place had malfunctioning air conditioning. I was informed of this before I even arrived and was swiftly given instructions to the new spot. The responsiveness was extremely nice and the new place had everything we needed.

Truly exeptional service. The place was neat and tidy, very gorgeous cozy space, true to the descriptions and pictures. We had all the necessary amenities. The host was excellent, check in was easy and straight forward. Anytime we had a question or needed assistance, Jack was always on call, swift responses. I highly recommend this place!

Jake was very accommodating, friendly and the place is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and literally have zero complaints about our stay.

The area is nice and the apartment is good. Thought it would be bigger. The owner might have remodeled the bathroom, but made the shower stall too short. Members of our group are not tall, maybe 6 ft or so, and they cannot even pull the shower head over their head to wash their hair. Not a big deal since no place is perfect, and we have seen worse. There are nice electronics and a table that can move up for working standing up. We did not use the sofa bed since we came prepared with our air mattress. The living room area is big enough to accommodate that. Overall, it is good and we will come back with the right group. The price is reasonable given that the neighborhood is much better than when we visited it a while ago.

We LOVED Jake's place! We were travelling with two young kids and Jake's place had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen is beautiful and squeaky clean, and the beds are the most comfortable beds we ever slept in. Jake was extremely responsive and worked with us on an early check in. Once we arrived, check in was clear and easy. The unit itself is newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous. We loved being able to walk to everything in Shadyside and enjoy our surroundings. Although there is no dedicated parking space, it was very easy to find parking spots. Thank you for the most wonderful stay at your place Jake. We will definitely be back!

This place more than met our needs and was in a great location for our short visit to Pittsburgh! It was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Parking was easy as we were able to find a spot in front of the apartment throughout stay. It was a short walk to the restaurant and shops on Walnut Street which was convenient! Overall, I’d highly recommend.

Just like other properties that Jake offers, this too did not disappoint. Simple things that make a big difference -- like pictures showing entrances, parking, etc -- no guessing. And inside, USB ports and plugs all over, making it easy to charge things. Very clean linens, and lots of pillows. Excellent and very comfortable beds. Also Jake responds quickly with any questions. These properties are the standard we now hold all other AirBnbs to. Great service, great value, very comfortable.

I loved my stay. The space was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The beds and pillows were very high quality, I slept great here. The neighborhood was quiet. The parking was availability was better than I expected. I appreciate how well the instructions and rules were written so I knew what to expect coming in. I didnt need to reach out to Jake during my stay as everything was smooth sailing, but he had been a great communicator from the beginning. I knew if I needed anything, he would be on top of it. I would definitely want to come back in the future.

THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY AT! Jake was very responsive and helpful. The house has 5 stars service, very clean, and matched the description. Easy free street parking. I like how we could find extra from everything, towels, paper towels, etc. The kitchen has all the amenities you need, seasonings, coffee, tea, kettle, microwave, oils, etc. the tv has Netflix and other apps for free. Jake is very organized and he knows how to take care of a place. I would definitely come again if we visited the city again.

This home was amazing. I stayed here for two nights and had no problems at all. The home was cozy and the beds were sooo comfortable. This home had a lot of convenient stores and food places around the area. Jake was so responsive and he was such a big help when It came to any questions I had. He was a wonderful host and I will definitely be back if I ever come back to Pittsburgh I really enjoyed it!

I recently stayed at this property and found it to be pristine, spacious, and very comfortable. The ambiance and amenities met all my expectations and made the stay enjoyable. However, I encountered an issue when extending my stay. The additional night was charged at twice the amount of each previous night due to a Steeler game, which I found unfavorable. Interestingly, when I checked the prices for upcoming weekends when the Steelers were in town, the rates were lower than what I paid. Initially, I was offered a refund of $150.00, but when I requested a receipt, no refund was provided. This was unfortunate because I had planned to rent 2-3 more times this year. I hope future guests have a smoother experience, and the pricing and refund process can be improved.

what a great place! We were cancelled last minute at another abnb and found this out of sheer luck and glad we did. This was a great location for everything. Located in a great city neighborhood with a good mix of students and adults. Walnut steeet is awesome and just a 2 mi. walk from your front door. Great food and shopping and close enough to the stadium for us to catch the Steelers game which was a 10 mi. Uber away. Thank you Jake for getting us in on same days notice and how lucky we were! Wouldn't hesitate for a mi ute to book this place.

The location was convenient to the city, without the bustle of downtown. The first floor accommodation was helpful, and there was almost always on-street parking close to the apartment. Jake was fast to respond to every note we sent, with kindness and attention. There wasn't as much flatware and silverware as I could have hoped, but our stay was quite a bit longer than what must be the average visitor, and there was a dishwasher so what am I complaining about? I fear that my Netflix and Prime suggestions might be affected, since I forgot to sign out of my accounts on the smart tv. Thanks again, Jake, it was a delightful stay.

Great location — easy to find, easy parking, walkable neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and shops within 5 min walk. Great communication — Jake is very responsive and courteous. Clear instructions about everything. Inside the apartment — Large king size beds are really comfortable. Lots of towels provided and had all the amenities we needed. A few minor things needed repair or maintenance but they didn’t hinder us from enjoying the apartment. The walls are thin but the sound machine provided works great.

The place was just as described. I like to be able to walk to restaurants when I visit Pittsburgh and you can definitely do that from this house. There are people above you but there are white noise makers in the bedrooms to help with the noise (which is a great idea). I would stay again!

Would totally stay here again! Jake's place offered all sorts of amenities and was close to the venues for the conference I was attending. He also allows pets which was a great benefit for me. The neighborhood is incredibly walkable with many restaurants nearby if you don't want to cook in the beautiful kitchen that is provided.

I come to Pittsburgh every season to drop/pick up my son from CMU. I wanted clean /safe place to stay before my long drive back home. I chose Jake's place because it was located walking distance from the local restaurants. The house is modern, updated with comfortable beds. (with hotel linens, which I appreciate !) We ended up staying home and cooked our dinner because the kitchen was so clean. We all slept like a baby, recharged to drive back to NYC. I would definitely rebook, if the dates are available.

The space is lovely, spacious and comfortable. The little details matter, however: broken blinds and a sticky, dirty table in the living space, empty body wash dispenser and a toilet seat that doesn’t stay up in the bathroom and a water dispenser in the refrigerator that doesn’t work because the filter hasn’t been almost made this four stars instead of five.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Jake's property in Pittsburgh. Jake was incredibly proactive and responsive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. The apartment was exactly as depicted in the pictures, which accurately reflected the clean and well-maintained space. Jake's place is great. we'll located near CMU and Pitt University but just far enough that it's very quiet at night. Easily drivable or walkable.

Great place to spend a couple of nights in Pittsburgh on our way to and from the 2024 Eclipse path of totality a little farther north. Comfortable beds and plenty of room to spread out. Easy walking distance from good restaurants and coffee shops. Our only complaint was a bit of noise from the upstairs tenants, wasn’t a major issue.

We plan to return to this lovely Airbnb. No need to say more! Beautifully renovated, well appointed and equipped kitchen, and very comfortable beds and soft high quality linens. Really easy keypad deadbolt lock that automatically locks for your safety. Quiet street. Parking on street was usually available right in front of t of unit so not much of an issue. Georgie’s Cafe is a couple short blocks away. Loved the location.

The place was as described. Very clean and close to tons of supermarkets and eateries. I would book again for the comfort of the beds alone! The only thing left to be desired is the tiny shower. It’s not a deal breaker but a standing only small shower with nowhere to place the soap, rag, shampoo, etc was kind hard. The host was extremely responsive and caring!!

What I appreciated most about this property is the location. It is in a great neighborhood of Pittsburgh that felt very safe and walkable to the heart of Shadyside. If you didn’t mind walking further you could easily access the other main road of Shadyside besides Walnut st. Also Jake was easy to communicate with and the information he provided prior to check in was easy to access and clearly communicated. We also had no problem finding street parking which was a concern for me. One thing to note is it is in an apartment complex and the walls are not terribly sound proof. Otherwise we found the apartment clean and comfortable and served our needs.

We only had a brief one night stay but we loved the property especially at the price point. Nice area and very peaceful. And we absolutely enjoyed the comfort of the beds!!

This was a great location~convenient to lots of restaurants- thankful that we were able to find a parking place on the street within a block each time we needed to park. We would have loved to have been given permission to able to check-in before 4pm check-in time on our first night ~~but all in all, we enjoyed our weekend in Pittsburgh!

I loved the location. It was easy to find. I wanted something that gave me some space. It’s close to Walnut Street. I spoiled myself by walking around the neighbourhood. Christmas lights were up and houses decorated. The apartment was lovely. I found everything I needed. I was so happy to be able to come ‘home’. I found parking easily. Would recommend it to anyone.

This adorable apartment was close to all the things we wanted to do in Pittsburgh. I loved the hardwood floors, and especially loved that the entire place was spotless. This was perfectly sized for our family of three for a three-day stay. The bedrooms had roomy closets and very soft comforters. Highly recommend.

I was impressed with how quiet this apartment is. Very easy to get to and we were able to park a few feet from the door even though we arrived late in the evening. The neighborhood is friendly and the locals all greeted us kindly. This is one of the nicest AirBnB's we've ever stayed in!

Jake's place was great and just as decscribed. It was great to be in a walkable area with shops and restaurants (recommend Pasha and Tocayo). Enjoyed a couple of morning walk and then stopping at a coffee shop nearby. Beds very comfortable and linens, towels etc were very good quality. We didn't really use the kitchen but it seemed to have everything one could need. Jake was a great commuicator and checkin/out was easy and seamless. Would definitely stay here again.

‘So happily surprised that the place looked as good in person as in the pictures! The place was immaculate which is of utmost importance to me. The bedding was wonderful and didn’t have the typical bedspreads that you want to immediately remove and lay aside! Jake answered all of my questions and the place was so easy to access with the directions given.

Jake was a great host. Very responsive. The house was very comfortable and clean and conveniently located. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again.

Great location and great apartment. Everything was clean and well-kept. Check-in was easy. Within walking distance of tons of restaurants and attractions. If you have a car, there is a paid parking garage across the street. There was a little bit of typical city noise, but nothing too bad, and our 1 year old slept great.

This apartment was just as described. Easy check-in and had everything we needed for a long weekend away. The location was close walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. The beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Absolute perfect location in Shadyside. Easy walking to Walnut Street - must go to Ice Cream and Liege Waffles. The owner was so incredibly friendly with the kids and generous with portions. Easy to get around Pittsburgh from location and found parking each time with no problem in front of house (need to parallel park). Loved the porch and sat outside a lot of the time that we were at the AirBnB. Saw concert at stadium and ease of getting to Shadyside after.

Everything was as advertised! We only stayed one night but wished we would have stayed more. Beds were comfy, bathroom was very nice, and cooking in the kitchen was enjoyable. Would love to stay again!

Great location near the heart of Shadyside. My plans varied and Jake was accommodating with the changes. Having lived in Shadyside for years it was exactly what I wanted.

Very quiet neighborhood and yet convenient to many things to do. Extremely comfortable beds and easy parking. That’s all we needed and it delivered.

The apartment is well located, walkable to CMU and Pitt, super close to Walnut Street and restaurants on Highland. Very minor issues detracted (broken toilet seat, no extra toilet paper, no welcoming amenities like a small cookie). Beds extremely comfortable. Host cared a lot that we have a positive experience. Apartment small would work best for 2 couples, sofa bed quite small. A bit pricey for a non-tourist city.

Pros: Well furnished and comfortable apartment. Easy street access. Within walking distance of active shopping/dining artsy area. Cons: Upstairs neighbor is noisy with a vocal dog. Ceiling fans and vent covers have not been dusted recently. Apartment had a stale smell on arrival, probably no airflow while not in use. Smell dissipated once fans and AC were turned on.

This is a very comfortable and well furnished and appointed place. We were extremely happy. Beds great, towels and shower so nice, comfortable sitting area and a kitchen you could cook in easily. Quiet street. Street parking but we were able to find a spot after just a few min of looking. Would definitely stay there again!

We were in Pittsburgh for Pitt graduation. This apartment was so close to campus which was just what we were looking for. Also was a short walk to Walnut Street which was so convenient. Parking was easy to find right in front of the building. Overall, a great place to stay and would definitely stay there again!!

This is a great place! Jake was a great communicator. Clean and comfortable. It’s on a private street, so fairly quiet, yet close enough to walk to several restaurants, shops, bars and such.

I have stayed at mini Airbnbs over the years and this is one of the nicest ones. The place was immaculate. There were snacks, water, bottles, and little chocolates by our bed! Would highly recommend for anybody staying in the university area of Pittsburgh. Thanks so much for the very comfortable stay!

I rented this apartment for a board member who was visiting our office from out of town and was not familiar with Pittsburgh. She found the place easily and appreciated the good and flexible instructions for check-in. She was impressed with how well appointed and clean the apartment was. Lovely restaurants and shops were within walking distance, and she left with a good impression of the area.

Jake’s place was instantly relaxing the moment we walked in. Decorated beautifully and simply, lots of thought given to comfort of guests and good use of space, it looked just like the photos. We both slept incredibly well on the comfortable mattresses! Jake was helpful, responsive and on top of everything. Will absolutely stay again and am already thinking about how to make my bedroom at home more like the bedroom I stayed in at Jake’s!!!

Beautiful, renovated space in an awesome neighborhood, walkable to many stores and restaurants. Quiet neighborhood, street parking very convenient. Jake was incredibly nice and responsive. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the space. The bathroom was the biggest issue, and Jake did offer to have someone clean it right away.

Our family of 4 stayed at Jake's apartment while we were visiting Pitt and CMU. We loved the apartment! The location is great - very easy walk to the shops & restaurants in Shadyside (Walnut Street) and easy to get anywhere in city. The 2 king beds are comfortable & the kitchen & bathrooms were both recently updated and very nice. We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment, but we enjoyed going back to it each evening. Because the apartment is on the 1st floor, you are able to hear some occasional light noise, especially the sound of water when the upstairs toilet flushes. It was not bothersome to us at all though. Jake was a very responsive host and very flexible when we asked for a slightly later check out which we really appreciated. Communication was great and the apartment was easy to find and access. The price seemed very fair given the location and amenities. We would love to stay there when we return to Pitt! Thank you!

This place was great!!! Super clean, adorable and all around easy. The picture in the listing made it easy to find. The lock was simple to use. The space was clean, had everything listed and more. My daughter and I stayed. The linens were crisp and clean and the bed comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, clean and felt very safe. We took a short walk to get to loads of restaurants, shops and other places of interest. Jake couldn’t have been more responsive and nicer to communicate with. Overall it was an outstanding stay! When I return to Pittsburgh I will check his place first.

Awesome location for walking to both great restaurants and shops on Walnut, as well as Highland Ave. Felt very safe, even when walking in the dark. Great place for a family to stay and parking was never an issue. Looked just like pictures, was very clean, and beds were indeed incredibly comfy.

Jake’s place was just what we needed while visiting our son who lives in Shady Side and goes to CMU. The home is well appointed, clean, comfortable and on a quiet street. There are excellent restaurants nearby on Walnut, and two grocery stores about an 8 minute walk away. We were able to easily make breakfast, warm up leftovers, and make tea and coffee. The TV was nice to watch movies at night. We plan to stay again the next time we are in town!

Jake’s place is clean and in an excellent neighborhood. We appreciated that we could walk to many restaurants and shops within as few as five minutes. Other reviewers had noted that the walls are thin, and while we occasionally heard other tenants, it was never problematic and didn’t disturb us at all, so don’t let that stop you from booking this place. We were actually surprised how quiet the neighborhood is despite being so close to everything. We’d stay again!

If you need a place in Shadyside. Do not hesitate to book this! Everything is new and we'll maintained. Common areas are a little tight. Would love to have more than bath towel per guest. Hiooks I bathroom or on back of doors would be helpful. Walls are thin, you can hear conversations of neighbors when your space is quiet.

We had a wonderful stay in Jake’s luxurious apartment! Jake thought of everything you would need for a comfortable stay, including upscale appliances and a well-stocked kitchen. There is even a washer/dryer and laundry detergent. The bathroom is like a spa and the bedding is what you get in a fine hotel. And the Shadyside neighborhood is great -- Coffee shops galore, lots of restaurants and fun shopping.

We so much enjoyed our stay at Jake’s lovely apartment. We were two people and a dog and the size was pretty perfect for us. The apartment had all of the essentials, was spotless, and is very conveniently located in the center of Shadyside. Will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit to Pittsburgh

Just minutes away from walnut street with two spacious bedrooms and everything we needed in a kitchen and living space. We registered for visitors permits and had no problem getting street parking right next to our door always. Would return in a heartbeat.

Despite the great location, overall this place seemed pretty overpriced. It took some time to actually check into the place because the door code was incorrect and took some time to contact the host to correct the issue. The place was clean, though the common space/living area was quite small and felt a little cramped. If any more than 2 adults, the space feels crowded. Also for the price, it wouldn't hurt to have some snacks available, and maybe decent coffee as a nice touch (coffee provided was Maxwell House brand). Also not included was a physical welcome guide binder, so had to reshuffle through old messages to hunt for the wifi, etc. There was a lack of personal touch. I will say if you need to be by the University of Pittsburgh during your stay, this place is quite central to that.

Nice updated (for the most part) unit, in a great location near CMU and U Pitt. Comfortable beds, and nice kitchen. The walls are VERY thin between units, though, and the neighbor's alarm clock was heard easily enough that it woke me up!

Parking was a bit difficult to find in the evenings when people are home from work. Something to keep in mind. Cute little neighborhood, lots of coffee shops. Most things are closed at 6-7pm.

This is a great AirBnB. It's a great property in great condition in a great neighborhood. The kitchen is probably the best equipped of any we have ever stayed in. It has a lot of basics that often get overlooked, like place to hang your clothes, side tables next to the beds, places to charge phones. We would absolutely stay here again. It's the kind of property that makes me prefer AirBnB to hotels.
